Glycol Fan Unit
Glycol fan units are a great solution for turning any space into a temperature controlled cellar. Designed to work with an existing glycol system, each glycol fan unit is self-contained and comes with a heat exchanger, an automatic temperature controlled solenoid valve and blower fans built-in. All you need to do is: 1) connect the input and output of the fan unit to your glycol systems cooling lines, 2) plug it in (most units require 220V single phase) and 3) set your desired cellar temperature on the controller. The glycol fan unit will cycle on and blow cold air into the cellar until the desired temperature has been reached. From that point on the fan unit will automatically cycle off and on to maintain the programmed temperature for your cellar.
Choosing the correct unit:
When choosing a glycol fan unit it is important to keep the following in mind:
Please feel free to contact us by giving us a call at 1-800-600-0033 or by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any glycol fan unit questions. We will be more than happy to help you size and choose the glycol system that best suits your individual needs.
- Correctly size the glycol fan unit to the area needing to be cooled. If the unit is too small for the task at hand, it will be forced to run continuously for long periods of time. The result is a waste of electricity and your cellar still may not get cool enough.
- If you will be cooling fermentations/tanks along with maintaining your cellar temperature, make sure the size of the glycol chiller itself is also able to support the combined desired cooling needs.
