Description

This unit is packed with great features! A large, clear scale makes this by far the easiest to read refractometer that we carry. Other highlights include a Automatic Temperature Correction, a 0-30 Brix scale, ocular eyepiece for focusing, a locking calibration ring and a beefy rubber grip for easy and sure handling. Once you pick this refractometer up the first time, you'll understand how it's been constructed to live in the vineyard with you - this is the heftiest and sturdiest unit we carry. For the user who only wants to have to buy it once!

Refractometer Reflections
This model has a larger readout of the degrees brix in the screen than my earlier model. It provides a more easily readable and therefore likely more accurate reading of brix. The surprise was the plastic syringe which facilitates placing juice on the surface of the prism. This eliminates the seed or pulp which sometimes gets in the way of placing the daylight plate flush over the prism

Satisfied
While it would be nice to have an SG scale, roughly converting from Brix is pretty simple. The contrast and visibility of the scale really are excellent, making it far easier to read than a cheaper tool I have used in the past.

Wish my eyesight was better
With my eyesight, granularity is 0.25 Brix only.

Highly Accurate built Ruggedly
The initial testing and use of this refractometer is it is very accurate and very heavy and sturdy compared to my other refractometer. The quality difference is obvious. I recommend this refractometer over the cheaper ones if you are looking for quality and accuracy.

Works great
I bought this one as a back up but it soon became my goto hydrometer.

Nice To Have On Hand
This is a great tool to have on hand during the boil. It's nice to be able to check your gravity very quickly at any giving point with just a few drops from your paddle. This is a sturdy product and seems to be built to last.

Quality product
I love this refractometer. Simple no fuss readings all you need to know is simple math!

well made - Brix only
There is no question that this Refractometer is well made. The ATC is a great feature as well, and I have no regrets with it.

It does not have specific gravity measurements, and you will need to convert from Brix if you want those measurements. Not the end of the world, but I missed this specification before purchasing.

Works well, spendy
I'd love to have two dimensions of review-quality to work with. On features, this is a five-star product. It does a great job of doing its job, what more can I say? Readout is clear, temp-correction means I don't have to futz around with cooling samples for my hydrometer. It is also sturdy as all get-out.

For anyone doing fly sparging, a refractometer is simply a must. I get quick and accurate readouts of the current gravity of runoff, and when you're reaching the end of the run the gravity tends to drop rather quickly.

Of course, It's also like $115 normally priced. I got one during one of their Daily Deal runs for considerably less. So, that's why I only gave it four stars.
