Description

The FermZilla 30L All Rounder is the perfect fermentation vessel that can be used for fermenting under pressure, carbonating, and dispensing.  It's far more capable than the FermZilla Flat bottom but less complicated and less expensive than the FermZilla Conical fermenter. The key differences are that the All Rounder can be pressurized, unlike the Flat Bottom, but it does not have a dump valve like the FermZilla Conical. For fermenting under pressure or serving out of the All Rounder, we recommend using the Pressure Kit for 55L FermZilla and cutting the dip tube to the appropriate length. The pressure kit is available with either stainless or plastic ball lock caps.

What's Included:

  • FermZilla 30L All Rounder Fermenter
  • Stainless Steel Stand
  • Stainless Steel Handle
  • Top Lid with PRV (35 psi)
  • 3-Piece Airlock
  • Adhesive Thermometer
  • Graduation Sticker

Specs:

  • 30 L (7.9 gal) Total Volume
  • Pressure Rated to 2.5 Bar (36.2 psi)
  • Height in Stand - 21.7"
  • Height w/ Airlock - 24.2"
  • Tank Diameter - 13.9"
  • Lid - 28 mm PCO 1881 threads
  • Temperature Rating:
    • When not under pressure, do not expose to liquids above 131°F
    • When under pressure, do not expose to any temperatures above 95°F*

*Please note that the temperature rating for the FermZilla tank is lower when using it under pressure. When not under pressure, it is perfectly safe to transfer wort into the tank below 131°F or to use hot liquids below this temp for cleaning. When under pressure, make sure to keep your fermentation temperature below 95°F and keep the fermenter in an environment that is below 95°F ambient. This is especially important when fermenting with kveik yeast. These strains are known to ferment hot if no temperature control is being used. Exceeding the temperature rating may compromise the tank, leading to a shorter life span or sudden failure to maintain pressure. Even with proper use, we recommend replacing the tank every two years.

Kegland Part number: KL15189

NOTE: FermZilla tanks are marked with a manufacturer’s “expiry date”. This does not indicate that the tank is bad after this date; it simply indicates that a hydro test may be in order. 2 years after production and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the tank be hydro tested to ensure the tank is holding pressure. Hydro test instructions are available here. You will also need the D1072 Green PRV to perform the test. If you do not plan to pressurize the fermenter, the test is not necessary.

Does the thermowell work with this?
Adam L on Jan 16, 2020
The widest part of this fermenter is 13.9"? It's hard to tell from the pictures if the holding rack sticks out further than the sides of the fermenter.
Derek S on Jan 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If you look closely at the second and third pictures, notice that the stand is shown in two different configurations. Inserting the All Rounder into the wider base allows it to sit lower, but it's not wider than the All Rounder itself. Using it with the narrower base allows the All Rounder to sit higher. I've seen line drawings online that give exact width and height measurements for both configurations, up to both ball locks and the air lock. I'd insert a link but MB does not approve.
Will this insulating jacket fit the FermZilla All-Rounder 30L?

Insulating Jacket for FermZilla 27L Conical or 60L All Rounder
Insulating Jacket for FermZilla 27L Conical or 60L All Rounder
BEST ANSWER: It fits around it and zips down, however, it is about 6 inches too long and has to have the bottom rolled up like highwater pants to be used with the stand that the All Rounder comes with.
The manual says avoid lifting full but the manual is for the 30L & 60L. If you read the info on the handle it says 100kg (220#) limit. If this were filled to the rim it would be under 70#. I would need to lift this full by the handles if I purchased one. Do others lift this full by the handles?
Mike Goetzke on Dec 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I carry the 7.9L version by the handles with 5-6 gallons inside, and it seems fine. I use a regular carboy carrier net also to hold base on while carrying (carry handled fit right over the fermzilla handles).
Does this use the same pressure equipment as the tri-conical?
Ray Gilmore on Dec 29, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Yes.
Is there a carrying handle included ornis the strap available?
Adam L on Jan 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi Adam - the All Rounder 30L and 60L units include a stainless steel carrying handle similar to a carboy handle. There is also a carrying harness that will be released later this year, which attaches to the stand so the whole fermenter and stand can be picked up and moved at once (FE149).
Will this work with the Fermzilla All Rounders?

MonsterMesh Strainer for FermMonster Carboys
MonsterMesh Strainer for FermMonster Carboys
BEST ANSWER: The FermZilla is shaped to work well within the supplied metal base. Once filled with wort, you will not want to move again until emptied at the end of process. The overall shape makes this tool an excellent tabletop candidate.
Can I use warm PBW and StarSan or SaniClean to clean and sanitize this vessel? The instructions require Kegland approved cleaning and sanitizing products but list some Down Under products not available here.
WILLIAM MAHLEY on Sep 28, 2023
BEST ANSWER: I have 2 all rounders and sanitize ~10 min with StarStan every use. I don't use PBW as I find cleaning with a wet soft cloth is more efficient.
Does the stainless steel pressure kit for the 55l work with this as well?
Adam L on Jan 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it's the same kit for both. You'll want/need to cut the tubing shorter or else it won't work the way it's supposed to.

Very Nice BUT Slow Pressure Leak
Things I like:
-Good price.
-Clear, I love watching the fermentation process!
-Easy to drop dry hops with magnets.
-Pressure fermentation compatible (see things I don't like)

Things I don't like:
-When fermenting under pressure there is a slow leak near the beverage-out post. This is UNACCEPTABLE in my opinion because pressure fermentation is one of the big selling points that convince home brewers like myself to purchase. I can even smell the hop aromas leaking out.

Great Fermenter
My first fermenter. Seems to be great based on my one brew session so far. Quite easy to clean! I wish the metal stand somehow attached to the vessel. Right now when I carry it to my fermentation chamber I use painters tape to hold it on there. Not a big deal though.
