FermZilla All Rounder Fermenter - 7.9 gal. / 30 L

FermZilla All Rounder Fermenter - 7.9 gal. / 30 L

Item currently out of stock

The FermZilla 30L All Rounder is the perfect fermentation vessel that can be used for fermenting under pressure, carbonating, and dispensing.  It's far more capable than the FermZilla Flat bottom but less complicated and less expensive than the FermZilla Conical fermenter. The key differences are that the All Rounder can be pressurized, unlike the Flat Bottom, but it does not have a dump valve like the FermZilla Conical. For fermenting under pressure or serving out of the All Rounder, we recommend using the Pressure Kit for 55L FermZilla and cutting the dip tube to the appropriate length. The pressure kit is available with either stainless or plastic ball lock caps.

What's Included:

  • FermZilla 30L All Rounder Fermenter
  • Stainless Steel Stand
  • Stainless Steel Handle
  • Top Lid with PRV (35 psi)

Going to give fermenting under pressure a try. I think this may possibly help to do a better job producing a NEIPA.

The widest part of this fermenter is 13.9"? It's hard to tell from the pictures if the holding rack sticks out further than the sides of the fermenter.
Derek Stanton on Jan 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If you look closely at the second and third pictures, notice that the stand is shown in two different configurations. Inserting the All Rounder into the wider base allows it to sit lower, but it's not wider than the All Rounder itself. Using it with the narrower base allows the All Rounder to sit higher. I've seen line drawings online that give exact width and height measurements for both configurations, up to both ball locks and the air lock. I'd insert a link but MB does not approve.
Does the stainless steel pressure kit for the 55l work with this as well?

Is there a carrying handle included ornis the strap available?
Adam Lowery on Jan 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi Adam - the All Rounder 30L and 60L units include a stainless steel carrying handle similar to a carboy handle. There is also a carrying harness that will be released later this year, which attaches to the stand so the whole fermenter and stand can be picked up and moved at once (FE149).
Does the thermowell work with this?
Adam Lowery on Jan 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Although the thermowell is quite a bit longer than necessary. It can be cut down to size easily with the proper tools.

You'll also need a step drill bit to create the proper size hole for fitting the duotight thermowell gasket into your Fermzilla cap.

Fantastic fermenter. I use it to ferment under pressure and transfer O2 free. Been looking at getting one for a while very happy I pulled the trigger. Definitely going to be buying another one. Highly recommend it.

Worth every penny.
I have been a fermentasaurus and fermzilla fan from the minute they hit the market. The all-rounder gives the benefits of fermenting under pressure without the hassle of cleaning the butterfly valve and at a low price. I can still harvest yeast the old fashioned way from the cake if I want to.Have not tried dry hopping in it yet.

All aRound great fermentor
On my second batch with this fermentor.
Compact size
Light weight
Easy to clean
With the pressure kit it is easy to do beer transfers directly to a keg or bottles, take samples for SG measurements all without the worry of contamination or oxygen.

No dislikes but the top is a bit hard to get off but using keg lube on the o-ring seal helps.

So far, so good!
I ordered the allrounder in order to ferment beer under pressure. I had a brew ready to be transfer to a secondary fermenter. I transfer the flat beer to to the all-round and put it under 13PSI of pressure. I also brew an NEIPA and I am doing an primary fermentation under 11PSI. Both vessels are holding pressure perfectly, so far. I gave it a 4 stars because the pressure kit (ball lock) that I ordered with the allrounder, would not fit my beverage out ball lock. I had two extra female threaded ball lock for the beverage out port. The extra ball lock fittings work great. Disappointing that I had to purchase two extra threaded ball locks, which cost me an additional $21.16.
Primary fermentation under 11 PSI
Spundit valve
Secondary/clarifying fermentation 13 PSI

Great first foray into pressure fermentation
I bought two of these to replace my Big mouth bubblers. So far they seem great. They are large enough that I don't have to worry about blowoffs with my batch size (5.5 gal) and once the pressure kit gets here I will be using that to transfer and carb my beers.

All in all super nice and well thought out fermenter, it feels like a nice step up from the BMBs.
