Description

The Megamouth Torpedo Kegs are by far the easiest to clean and maintain out of any ball lock homebrew keg you'll find. With an extra-large lid opening, even the buffest of homebrewer (we hear they do exist!) will have no trouble reaching in for a good scrub when it kicks—no expensive keg washing contraptions needed! The Megamouth makes for an excellent pressurizable fermentation vessel and is the ideal choice for brewers who prefer to add dry hops and other flavoring ingredients directly to the keg.

The brand new patented design, D794,899, of the Torpedo Keg gives you a high quality keg with features that a dedicated home brewer will appreciate. The machine welds on the Torpedo Keg exceed our standards for quality. There are no nooks and crannies for contaminant to get lodged in. The weld quality is possible because these kegs made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer.

These kegs can be stacked on top of each other with the Ball Lock quick disconnects still attached. They feature rolled stainless steel handles that are comfortable to grab. "In" and "Out" are etched near the keg posts for a quick and mistake-free set up when you are connecting lines in a refrigerator or kegerator.

Considering the price and quality, the Torpedo Keg is an amazing value!

Mouth opening is 5.8" L x 4.8" W.

KOMOS® V2 Kegerator with NukaTap® Stainless Steel Faucets
BEST ANSWER: I do not have these on hand, but looked at the dimensions and I believe you could fit two, organized diagonally. With the regular 6 gallon you could fit 3, and the slimline 5gal could fit 4.
Does this come with a lid? Normal keg lids do not fit correct?
Zachariah Costa on Oct 2, 2022
BEST ANSWER: If you scroll through the pictures past the initial three, you'll see a photo of the tall keg with a lid visible, and in fact the last photo in the set is of the lid itself. And obviously, with the "mega mouth" opening, these lids would be much bigger than the typical corny keg's lid.
Are sleeves available for the wide mouth versions?
Jim Wilber on May 14, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Sleeves for the Megamouth Torpedo Kegs are not available at this time.
Have anybody tried the Megamouth Torpedo Keg 6 Gal doing pressure fermentation? I would assume it would be the perfect choice for 5 gallon batches.
Idar Hoydal on Feb 14, 2023
BEST ANSWER: I have and it works great. I wish they were 6.5 gallon kegs for just a little more space. I’m on my third batch using a floating dip tube but considering shortening the standard tube for future batches.

Gas Post didn't work
My second torpedo keg. I really like them. This one had a failed gas in post that wouldn't work at all. I took it apart, adjusted, but nothing worked. I had an extra on hand and it worked fine after being replaced. Annoying, but not solvable.

Very Good Product
I use these for fermenting and serving. A 6-gallon keg with a properly set up floating dip tube is a great pressure fermenter for 5-gallon batches. Very good quality.
