This is a high quality plastic quick disconnect made by CM Becker for your gas line.

Flare is 1/4"

Tip N' Trick: Sometimes ball lock fittings are a challenge to quick disconnect "on and off" a cornelius keg. We recommend spraying the body connect on the keg first with a sanitizer solution which acts as a lubricant. When applying the ball lock fitting to the body connect, give a twist and turn to make it easier to connect. We've coined this term "Lube and Turn".

Do I need 1/4" flare fitting and 1/4" swivel nut to attach this to a 5mm ID tubing?
Kunal on Aug 10, 2018
CM Becker Ball Lock Gas In - Flare
CM Becker Ball Lock Gas In - Flare
Flare Fitting - 1/4
Flare Fitting - 1/4" Swivel Nut
Flare Fitting - 1/4 in. Barb
Flare Fitting - 1/4 in. Barb
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you will need both the 1/4" swivel nut and the 1/4" barb fitting. You will probably have to warm up the end of tubing by dipping the last 3 cm into hot water (use a microwave to heat water in a cup) to be able to insert the barbed in easily. Otherwise it is a struggle to push the barb into room temperature tubing.
I have a set of 1/4" flare keg connectors. I need to connect these to 8 mm gas tubing and 6 mm beverage tubing. What size flare to barb connectors do I need?
WAYNE KNACK on Jan 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: 8mm would be closest to 5/16 barb. 6mm would be closest to 1/4” barb.
Just so I am clear before ordering....these come with the NFL flare?
Gregg Carney on Feb 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the flare is inside the fitting.

Good ball lock
I bought this to attach a 5/16 barb to a 5/16 ID hose. Makes a much tighter fit than a 1/4 inch barb.

Flares >>barbs
Bought these to replace old outs with flares. I like to be able to disconnect the lines and i feel like i get a better seal with flares than barbs and clamps
May 6, 2015
Better than the barbed version
I prefer these over the barbed version because its easier to remove the tubing come cleaning time. Recommend to have some keg lube handy to put a thin layer on the keg post before applying this...makes attach/detach much easier. These unscrew apart for easy internal cleaning.

Using them is better than not using them
Easy to connect, disconnect. Mine have lasted forever. I feel like I only have to replace them when I lose them.
