Description

This stopper will fit a 2.8,3,5,6, or 6.5 gallon glass carboy (please note: Will Not Fit a Better Bottle Or Plastic Carboys). Will also fit our 500ml Erlenmyer flask. Made with a longer taper from a different material, this stopper does not pop out when wet. Extremely reliable, it is our stopper of choice for all applications involving these size carboys.

Also will fit a 12 or 22 oz beer bottle when used upside down.

Too Big
These are too big for the standard one gallon jugs. only the bottom tip fits in and it takes Hercules to force it in there.

Very Disappointing
I have several similar stoppers and they all work fairly well... but they're getting old and I wanted to order a couple new ones. I saw the item description said "Made with a longer taper from a different material from standard stoppers to minimize popping out when wet.", which was appealing- so I gave them a shot.

Tried them out for the first time a couple days ago and they are by far the worst stoppers I've ever had. They are a lighter/whiter color, and seem to be a more stiff rubber... and they pop out almost immediately, no matter what I do. I ended up just going back to the older stoppers I had.

Universal does not mean Universal
Check carefully, I was duped by this “universal” stopper. It only actually fits 2 or 3 different applications, not by any means a “universal” solution. They have listed some things it doesn’t fit on, but it also doesn’t fit on things like growlers.

Nice
I should have read the listing better, this won?t fit plastic carboys. I?ve found another use for it though. It is well made, and I think I like this style of bung better than the solid ones.

A good stopper. fits in store bought cider jugs.
A good stopper. fits in 64oz and 128oz store bought cider jugs. Felt a little unsure about the seal after multiple times of putting in the airlock. Poured a little sanitizer into the top and no bubbles so I feel that it will seal after multiple reseatings of the airlock. Seems to be a harder material that will withstand the oxidative stress of sanitizer unlike other stoppers and caps that dry and crack.
