Keep your yeast or ML happy and your ferment warm during those cold winter months with this flexible heater made by Fermentap. Using tape to adhere, this flexible heating wrap can be attached directly to your fermenter or can be used to heat the space in a box (or refrigerator) that the fermenter is in. Depending on your configuration and insulation, you can increase the temperature of your wine from 5-20 degrees Fahrenheit.

If using carboy or bucket you can attach directly using tape (as seen in photo above.) We recommend electrical tape as it sticks and unsticks the easiest. Heating can be contolled by sticking either the entire wrap or a portion of the wrap to the fermenter. In an open evironment we see a heating differential between carboy and ambient of 10-15 degrees. This differential can be increased by using our carboy bag to insulate a carboy (this has been tested.) To decrease the temperature differential, stick only a portion of the heating wrap to the fermenter.

For precise results, we recommend using our temp controller (FE610) and carboy thermowell (FE612) for the ultimate in fermentation temperature contol.

For heating small stainless variable volume fermenters and barrels up to 30 gallons a single FermWrap! works great. For volumes of 60 gallons or more, we recommend using two or more FermWraps (we do this in our winery Olin Wines all the time!).

With 40 watts of heat spread over two square feet it provides gentle even heating. Draws 40 watts. 115V. Manufactured by Fermentap.

Can this be used on plastic Fermontser 7gal?
Timothy Chilcoat on Jan 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have also used it on my Spidel 30 L ( 7.9 Gal). And works excellent. I did use a beach towel to wrap around my plastic Spide 30 L as temps were dropping down into the 30 s in my shop.
Will this work with the 7.5 gallon anvil bucket fermenter? Cheers
Jeff Shoemaker on Jan 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I have a 7 gallon BrewBucket, so I can’t see why it wouldn’t work on the Anvil. I wrap it around the fermenter and use masking tape to tape the edges to the fermenter.
Can this be used on the stainless steel brewbucket fermenter?
John Lilli on Apr 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: On the outside of the fermenter yes. Works great with a bit of extra insulation around it for improved heat retention.

Works exceptionally well.
This has changed my fermentation process for the better. with this FermWrap and immersion thermometer (in a thermowell) I am able to keep my wort temp within a degree of optimal desired fermenting temperature.

This thing is bomb. Taped the ends onto my carboy, wrapped in towel in my fermentation chamber, and raised 20 degrees no problem. Haven’t tried to go higher yet.

Economical, user friendly, perfect for fermentation
If you need something to heat up your kegerator for fermentation if the weather is cold look no further. Paired with an Inkbird, this and the kegerator keeps my temperatures held at 70 degrees. For installment all I did was tape it to the back of the kegerator and run the line through the tap hole on top then seal it with the rubber plug.

Very good to kettle sour beers and fermentation control in cold situations. Needs some exterior insulation to keep warmer temperatures

It worked like a champ. I have my beer inside a temp controlled chest freezer in the garage & some nights the temp gets down in the 40s. So without the wrap my beer would drop into the 50s the garage. But the FermWrap, it kept it right at 68F.

Looks like it will work great in the laggering/serving fridge! Find out for sure after I have something to lager in there and some cold weather!

More Power!
So far this has worked very well and is much more powerful than the narrow 15W belt I bought first. This unit pairs well with one of the Inkbird or Johnson controllers.

Awesome tool to keep your fermentation at a stable temp. Keep in mind it can only go ~15 F warmer than ambient temp.

perfect for my needs
This works great. I had problems heating up past 80F while brewing a saison, using only the bottom heating pad. I bought this to try instead. It immediately heated up to what I needed... around 88F. It heats fairly fast as well. Only used it once so far, but I'm definitely satisfied.
